Watchlist & Market Data

The watchlist is both a quick quote list and a market detail surface. It appears in Terminal side panels and Dashboard widgets, and it connects chart context, live prices, sparklines, fundamentals, gauges, and alerts.

Watchlist surfaces

Terminal watchlist panel

Resizable side panel for live symbols, price updates, ticker tape behavior, detail panes, alerts, and chart symbol replacement.

Dashboard watchlist widget

Monitoring widget for watchlist snapshots, sparklines, and quick symbol review.

Watchlist detail pane

Fullscreen/detail presentation for fundamentals, gauges, forecast sections, technicals, range charts, and symbol-specific context.

Alert integration

Watchlist symbols can be used as context for manual alerts and chart workflows.

Market data used by watchlist

Watchlist features can use:

  • live multi-symbol prices,
  • historical chart data,
  • watchlist gauge data,
  • fundamentals detail data,
  • sector data,
  • quote APIs,
  • ticker logo resolution,
  • sparkline caches.

Detail pane sections

The detail pane can include:

  • latest quote/price movement,
  • range chart,
  • performance sections,
  • fundamentals,
  • technicals,
  • analyst forecast style sections,
  • related watchlist alerts,
  • symbol branding/logo.

Exact content depends on the symbol and available upstream data.

Interaction with charts

Clicking a watchlist row can update chart context. In multi-chart workspaces, confirm which chart is active before replacing symbols. Use chart hotkeys or symbol search for more controlled chart changes.

Troubleshooting

A symbol has no logo

Ticker logos use fallback recovery. Some symbols may still show a fallback if no reliable logo is available.

A gauge or fundamental field is missing

Some market data is not available for every symbol or asset class.

Prices look delayed or stale

Check whether the stream is active, whether the symbol is supported, and whether the same symbol updates in chart or dashboard views.
