May Product Update
A note from the team
Over the last few weeks, we have been focused on making Astral feel more complete for day-to-day trading: placing orders, reviewing portfolio data, setting alerts, scanning watchlists, and moving through the app with less friction.
This update brings several visible changes across the product, including manual trading, advanced alerts, deeper portfolio views, a refreshed watchlist experience, a new pricing tier, and a broader interface overhaul.
What changed
Manual trading is now available
Astral now supports manual trading from connected brokerage accounts. You can open a trade ticket, choose a symbol, review order details, set bracket-style controls, and follow order status after submission.
This is a major step for the product because Astral now supports more than research and strategy review. You can move from analysis to action without leaving the workspace.
Advanced alerts now stand alone
Alerts now have a more capable workflow that is separate from strategy creation. You can create, review, edit, label, and manage alerts more directly from trading views.
This gives traders a lighter-weight way to track market conditions without needing to build or deploy a full strategy.
Portfolio views now go deeper
Connected account pages and terminal panels now show more in-depth portfolio data, including portfolio value, P/L, open positions, orders, account activity, sector allocation, and FX-aware totals.
The goal is to make account context easier to understand before you review a symbol, place an order, or decide what needs attention next.
Watchlists have been refreshed
Watchlists now include detail panes, fullscreen layouts, live gauges, fundamentals, analyst context, range charts, and smoother streaming updates.
| Symbol | Trend | Price |
|---|---|---|
NVDANvidia Corp | $903.42+2.45% | |
AMDAdvanced Micro Devices | $154.21-1.12% | |
MSFTMicrosoft Corp | $412.50+0.85% | |
GOOGLAlphabet Inc | $168.23+1.20% | |
TSLATesla Inc | $172.08-0.34% |
We want watchlists to feel more like a place to compare and investigate names, not just a static list of prices.
Strategies are easier to review in the terminal
Strategy details now have a terminal side panel and fullscreen view, replacing more modal-heavy interactions.
This keeps strategy review closer to the chart, account context, orders, and current positions.
Orders and charts are better connected
We added conditional order work, live order markers, clearer status handling, and a series of trade ticket refinements.
The result should be a clearer path from chart review to order setup, especially when you are checking how an order relates to the current market view.
Plus is now the middle pricing tier
The pricing page now includes a new middle tier: Plus. It sits between Core and Premium for traders who need more than the free plan but do not need the full Premium package.
This gives us a clearer path for packaging features as Astral grows.
The interface has been overhauled
We also made a broad set of UI updates across the terminal, dashboard, landing page, pricing page, modals, side panels, and trading surfaces.
Some of these changes are small on their own, but together they should make Astral feel cleaner, easier to scan, and more consistent.
A few supporting updates
We also improved broker connection and renewal flows, notification behavior, terminal panel resizing, mobile dashboard layouts, and public pages like the trading survey.
What this means
Astral now supports more of the trading workflow in one place: manual trading, portfolio review, watchlists, alerts, strategies, chart context, order activity, pricing options, and a more polished interface.
We will keep sharing these notes when product changes affect how traders use the platform day to day.
